| Mr.
B's Bistro |
| Nestled
in the heart of the French Quarter, Mr. B's Bistro
is located at the intersection of Royal Street
and Iberville, one of New Orleans' most celebrated
food corners. Since 1860's, this corner has been
a New Orleans landmark. In 1868, this once quiet
corner was transformed into Solari's Market. New
Orleanians came from all over town to visit this
soda fountain and lunch counter which also specialized
in merchandise not found anywhere else--like out-of-season
fruits and vegetables, rare liquors, exquisite
candy and imported cookies. Solari's closed it's
doors for the final time in 1965, but fourteen
years later, in 1979, John, Ella, Dick, Dottie
and Adelaide Brennan resurrected this celebrated
food corner into Mr. B's and beckoned the culinary
world inside. |

| Gumbo
Shop |
| New Orleans: a city
of many fascinations with food to match. At the Gumbo
Shop, we carry on the tradition of fine dining
which began with the first Creole gourmets. Even
though the pots are no longer tended over an open
fire, their contents are just as good. Jambalaya
and Gumbo are two of the most famous Creole dishes
and we serve them every day. In keeping with La
Belle New Orleans, the stories behind these dishes
are just as flavorful as the dishes themselves.
File and okra, two of the ingredients which are
used to prepare Gumbo explain the word "Gumbo". "Kombo" is
the Indian word for file and "Gombo" is the two
chefs in New Orleans prepare Gumbo exactly the
same--you have an explanation for its name. Kombo,
Gombo, Gumbo--A great dish by any name. |

| Arnaud's |
| This New
Orleans restaurant leader of the culinary old guard
is serving up tradition in a menu that benchmarks
the Creole classics, many created here, such as
succulent Oysters Bienville and Shrimp Arnaud,
chilled boiled shrimp marinated in a homemade remoulade
sauce. Most meals begin with air-puffed pommes
souffle accompanied by delicious Bearnaise sauce.
Another traditional old favorite often follows,
Trout Meuniere, a crisply fried fillet of fresh
speckled trout bathed in a velvety sauce of veal
stock, lemon and butter and served with crunchy
brabant potatoes. |

| Broussard's |
| In a city
that joyously celebrates fine dining as an art
form, Broussard's has been a fixture for nearly
a century. Dishes created with an exotic blend
of French, Spanish, Indian, Caribbean, Acadian
(Cajun) and Creole influences have made New Orleans
a preferred destination for lovers of inspired
cuisine the world over. Located in the heart of
New Orleans' Vieux Carré, or French Quarter, Broussard's
combines a mix of old architecture, classic food
and tradition to achieve a dining experience one
is not likely to forget. |
